Installed a stainless steel tube in the rear
dog legs. Originally the factory used a rubber hose to channel the drain tube from
the rear quarter glass. In the four cars I've had only one still had one hose connected.
The hose would fall off and the water from the quarter window would drain into the inside
of the rear wheel wells and rot them out along with the rear seats.

Let's do some sand blasting. I hate blasting, it
has to be the worst job related to the old car hobby. I did use regular play sand, and
yes, I know the dangers and all the other stuff. I've blasted for years, not on a regular
basis but I've done my share over the last 30 years and I've always used sand. I have
used slag for smaller items with my syphon blaster.

I only blasted the areas of my welds and around the windows, areas
that can handle the heat and pounding of the blasting. Areas like the doors and roof are too large and smooth
and I felt they could warp. I am stripping the roof with a fiber wheel, sandpaper on a DA and phosphoric acid to
clean the paint and rust from these area.

Well, old cars are an addiction. I bought
another '37 Buick. This time it's a Century. I found it on Craigslist and bought
it for a parts car. My neighbor is trying to convince me into getting the car
running and drive it as is while I work on my Special. It depends on whether the
car will run, if it doesn't I'll part it out.

I was able to track down who the last registered
owner was. This is what the car looked like in the 1980s before it was sold to person's
whose estate I bought it from bought it. Very sad.

I am trying my hand at lead work. I tried it
many years ago with little success but for some reason it worked pretty well tonight.
