1949 South African built Ford

This is a unique piece of Ford Motor Company history in the form of a rare war-effort South African-built 1949 Ford Stepside LDV Bakkie (Pick-Up). The South Africans were America's allies in the Second World War and following the war, they began building vehicles under license and authority from Ford. This truck was manufactured in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The truck is right hand drive and the dash layout is flipped opposite from the US version.

This truck would make one heck of a conversation piece at the car shows.
